Preschool and Pre-kindergarteners continue their development and growth through interactions with peers and communities, comparing experiences, understanding their emotions, and applying their imagination and creativity. Through play and discovery, they integrate these experiences and advance their development.  We have five aged-based preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms.

Our teachers observe and document children's learning and interests throughout each day.  With this detailed understanding of children's interests and motivations, teachers stage classroom environments to extend learning and introduce new concepts.  Children actively engage, manipulate, and experiment with the classroom environment and are encouraged to report their individual findings through a medium of their choice such as art, drama, movement, or writing.

All classrooms have access to our extensive library of loose parts, which offers children and teachers materials for creative expressions of ideas or to extend learning.  Children and teachers seamlessly move between indoor and outdoor learning spaces throughout the year.  This enables children to witness changes in the environment that occur from season to season and explore moving their bodies in a variety of outdoor landscapes that stimulate physical coordination and development.
